Patsy Ruth Huse Warner, 76, daughter of Lincoln and Hazel Anderson Huse, was born Feb. 11, 1932, in Ralls County Center. She died March 15, 2008, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.

She was baptized Aug. 5, 1945, at age 13 at the Christian church at Center, where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1949.

She was a homemaker and world traveler and was politically active in her community.

She loved people and serving as a volunteer. She volunteered for 17 years at Cox North and Crossline in Springfield. After moving to Bucyrus, she was a Texas County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary volunteer for 17 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Warner; her parents; one sister, Mabel Winans; and one brother, Bill Huse.

Surviving are her children, Richard L. Mays of Belton, Robert L. Mays of Raytown, Sheila L. VanBuskirk of Canyon Lake, Texas, Ronald D. Mays of Cuba, Mo., David E. Mays of Lebanon and Billy J. Mays of Norman, Okla.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are 1 o’clock Friday at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. The body was cremated.
