Two teacher organizations at the Houston School District will host a “Meet the Candidates” forum Tuesday at the Houston Elementary School gym.
The event, which is sponsored by the Houston chapters of the Missouri State Teachers Association and the National Education Association, runs from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is designed as a small group discussion opportunity for eight candidates to meet informally with those attending. Plans call for eight seating areas.
Those seeking the posts will introduce themselves to the crowd for about two minutes and then move on to each table for 10-12 minutes of discussion. By the end of the forum, each candidate will have interacted with everyone attending.
