Terry Dale Johnson, 55, son of William Murl and Edna Johnson, was born Nov. 7, 1952, at Gideon. He died March 6, 2008, at Ozarks Medical Center at West Plains.

Mr. Johnson was a member of the Hilltop Holiness Church of Willow Springs. He played and sang with the Earls Family, soloing on their CD, “The Heritage Family.”

He loved to hunt and fish and in 1976, won the Arkansas and Alabama state champion turkey calling contests.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy; daughter, Suzette; and sister, Linda Payne.

Surviving are his son, Chris of Mountain Grove; his parents of West Plains; and four grandchildren.

Services were March 8 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel at Summersville with the Rev. Charles Barnett, the Rev. Joey Hight and the Rev. Stan Collins officiating. Burial was in the Boone Creek Cemetery.
