Charles Ray Geren, 69, son of George J. Richards and Vernita Geren, was born Feb. 4, 1939, at Turley. He died April 6, 2008, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston..
He graduated from Houston High School and worked in construction in the area.
He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Charles Ray Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth, of Harrisonville; daughter, Candy, of Kansas City; sister, Wilma Koehler of Success; a half brother and two half sisters.
Memorial services are at a later date.
Arrangements were under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
