A disaster recovery center has been opened in Rolla to provide face-to-face assistance to those suffering damage in the recent flooding.
Three centers were opened in key locations across the region. At Rolla, patrons may seek assistance from 1-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the Rolla Recreation Center – Ber Juan Park, located at 1300 Holloway.
The center will provide information on: FEMA and state disaster assistance programs; U.S. Small Business Administration low-interest disaster loans and how to complete the loan application; smart building techniques to reduce damage from future floods; and flood insurance.
Visitors should register with FEMA before visiting the center by calling FEMA’s toll-free registration line at 00-621-FEMA (3362) from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily, or go online at www.fema.gov. Registrants should use the name on their Social Security card when registering online.
