Drury’s class offerings at Licking continue to grow. The classes are at Licking High School’s Science Building.

Courses in a variety of subjects are offered each semester and include classes in art, biology, communication, criminology, education, English, general studies, history, psychology and sociology. Classes meet each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and two sessions of classes, 5:20-8 p.m. and 8:10-10:50 p.m., are each night. In addition, select weekend mini-courses are also offered each term.

Many of the students are non-traditional and are returning to school after a long hiatus. Others are recent high school graduates. Drury in Licking also offers local area high school juniors and seniors the option of enrolling in select courses for college credit at a reduced tuition rate. Many high school students have started taking advantage of the ability to take evening class in Licking at a reduced price.

Registration for the fall semester of Drury’s classes in Licking is under way. Students can call 417-254-1200 or e-mail chicks@drury.edu to set up an appointment with an adviser that can help schedule classes. There is also an adviser at the Texas County Library in Licking every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Persons can stop by the library to check on financial aid possibilities, schedule classes or simply learn more about the Drury University classes in Licking.

Many students are surprised to find that Drury is an affordable choice for higher education. The Drury University delivery site in Licking continues to grow each semester, and you are invited to experience the Drury difference.
