Nathan Thomas Sawyer, 41, son of Thomas Lee and Claretta Laster Sawyer, was born Feb. 22, 1967, in Kansas City. He died May 14, 2008, at his home in Houston.
Mr. Sawyer grew up at Houston, where he graduated from HHS in 1985. He graduated as an LPN January 2004 from South Central Career Center at West Plains. He reached out to help the sick and afflicted in his career as a nurse.
He traveled within the U.S. and recently visited the Philippines and Dubai. He loved outdoor activities, especially fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Surviving are two sons, Zachariah Thomas Sawyer of Lebanon and Isaiah Nathan Sawyer of Manila, Philippines; his fianc/e, Carina Canlas of Manila, Philippines; his father of Houston; two brothers, Eric Dale Sawyer of Buffalo and John Charles Sawyer of Houston; and a sister, Diane Marie Martincich of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Services were May 19 at the Ozark Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Hamilton and the Rev. Bill Jetton officiating. Burial was in the Ozark Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
