A West Plains man faces a felony drug charge after he was arrested Sunday night following a peace disturbance at Houston’s Horse Creek Inn.
Sean A. Boyer, 40, is charged with possession of a controlled substance – a Class C felony – and peace disturbance. He is being held at the Texas County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
Boyer and another man were leaving Jeffrey T. McConnaha’s room at Horse Creek Inn when Houston police arrived. The owner of the business, Andrea Morrell, said all three men in the room were intoxicated, but that McConnaha had paid for the room and could remain.
A search of Boyer, who was advised he was being arrested for peace disturbance, revealed a pill container in his right pocket that contained Oxycodone. Boyer said the pills were for his knee and that he did not have a prescription. A further search of Boyer revealed 11 more pills in a yellow backpack.
