Larry Wayne Davenport, 56, son of Clarence E. and Eula Fern Sillyman Davenport, was born June 1, 1952, at Houston. He died June 4, 2008, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
He attended the Houston Schools through his junior year before moving away. He would have graduated with the class of 1971.
He married Jean Ann Stilfield Feb. 14, 1989, at Sedalia.
Mr. Davenport was a clamp truck operator at Waterloo Industries Inc. for 29 years.
His hobbies included gardening, landscaping and home improvements. When he wasn’t busy, he enjoyed traveling and found Branson and Las Vegas to be at the top of his list. He enjoyed country music and Elvis.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving are his wife of the home at Sedalia; daughter, Brandi Davenport of Sedalia; son, Chris Davenport of Sedalia; two stepsons, Mark Sartain of Smithton and Matt Sartain of Sedalia; his mother of Sedalia; one sister, Claralene Pospisil of Sedalia; brother, Jerry Davenport of Utah; and three grandchildren.
Services were June 7 at the Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home in Sedalia with the Rev. Gary Davenport officiating. Burial was in the Highland Sacred Gardens.
