Lester “Leck” Ray Crismon, 82, son of Virgil and Polly Chatham Crismon, was born July 3, 1925, at Evening Shade. He died June 3, 2008, at Christian Health Care Lebanon North, where he had been a resident since October 2006.

Mr. Crismon worked in the hayfields, at a saw mill and at Fort Leonard Wood AAFES until 1980, when he retired on disability with glaucoma.

He lived near Plato all of his life and was a member of the Plato Baptist Church.

He enjoyed listening to ballgames on the radio, especially the Plato games when he was unable to attend, and country music.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Farrell and Charles.

Surviving are three brothers, Dale Crismon of Roby, Bob Crismon of Lee’s Summit and Bill Crismon of Independence; one sister, Anna Ruth Crismon of Plato; and good friend, Bob Creason of Roby.

Services were June 7 at the Plato Baptist Church with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Cedar Bluff Cemetery at Falcon under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
