A Houston woman is charged with stealing a wedding ring from a local residence, Houston police said.

Rosemary Elizabeth Olson-Case, 21, is accused of stealing under $750 on June 4. The charge stems from a missing wedding ring belonging to Ashley McCauley, 19, of 109 Third St.

Olson-Case had earlier returned the ring to the Wal-Mart service desk, telling it she had found it in a restroom.

In other matters, police:

-Cited Jerry W. Bolden, 56, of 319 Chestnut St., with driving while revoked on June 7.

-Charged Rodney J. Stell, 47, of 115 North St., with peace disturbance following an incident at a neighbor’s Orchard Street residence.

-Are seeking charges against a 39-year-old Rolla man who authorities said passed counterfeit money at Houston Wal-Mart Supercenter on May 22. Bills were passed at several businesses in the region.

-Cited Russell A. Reed, 39, of 306 Skyview Terrace, with operating a motor vehicle with no valid operator’s license. Reed told officers, “I don’t have a license, but I plan to get one as soon as I receive my stimulus check.”

-Charged Ashley D. Ellison, 18, of 415 W. Mill St., Lot 5, with obstructing a police officer during an investigation. Ellison helped a person elude them.

-Cited Carla G. Taylor, 41, of Mountain Grove, with failing to exhibit an insurance identification card on June 2. Taylor struck a vehicle operated by Michelle M. Ceplina, 40, Houston. The mishap occurred at U.S. 63 and West Highway 17.

-Investigated a 14-year-old runaway from a Houston residence on June 6. The girl later was found at her father’s residence in Illinois.

-Charged Teresa L. Cook, 45, of 314 Skyview Terrace, with driving while license suspended and DWI on May 31.
