Thelma Lucille Brown, 86, daughter of Charles and Caledonia Cross Gale, was born Sept. 7, 1921, at Hartshorn. She died June 19, 2008.

She married Henry Franklin “Toney” Brown in 1941. They had four children.

Mrs. Brown was a member of the First Baptist Church in Licking, where she enjoyed the quilting group. She also enjoyed gardening, reading and her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Irene Brown; and six siblings, Eva Moneymaker, Oma Wilkerson, Eldon Gale, Elmer Gale, Everett Gale and Effie Coffman.

Surviving are her children, Helen Gray of Piedmont, Dale Brown of St. Peters and Barbara Wagner of Licking; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were June 22 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Gray officiating. Burial was in the Anutt Cemetery.
