Victoria Marie Browne, 51, daughter of Margaret and John Sneed, was born Jan. 10, 1957, in St. Louis. She died June 13, 2008, at St. Louis University in St. Louis.

She spent her summer vacations as a young child staying with her grandparents, Raymond and Addie Sykes.

She attended Mehlville High School and after graduation, worked for Chrysler. She and her sons lived in the Summersville area for a few years before moving to St. James, where she received her nursing degree. She worked for the Missouri Veterans Home and Golden Age Nursing Center in St. James until she became too ill to work.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Oscar and Gladys Sykes; and grandparents, Addie Sykes, Anna Sneed and Herman Sneed.

Surviving are her sons, Justin Browne of St. Louis and Nathan Browne of St. James; her parents of St. James; sister, Sonya McNeil; adopted sisters, Margaret Ozenkowski and Janice Chaffee; and grandfather, Raymond Sykes of Summersville.

Graveside services were June 16 at the Antioch Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Steelman officiating under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.
