Junior Dewayne “Wayne” Jordan, 66, son of Fred Leo Jordan and Vinnie Marie Gale Jordan, was born Sept. 27, 1941, at Hartshorn. He died June 9, 2008, at Harry S Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia.

He married Fay Ann Jolliff Aug. 19, 1961. They were married 46 years and had four children.

Mr. Jordan served in the U.S. Army from March 30, 1963, to March 29, 1966, and in the Reserves until March 29, 1969.

He worked for many years at Chrysler in St. Louis. He loved living on a farm in the country, enjoyed fishing, camping, taking care of the yard and being outside.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Buford Jordan and Ricky Cantrell; one sister, Connie Hinkle; an infant great-grandson; and his son, Richard, who also died this week from complications of surgery.

Surviving are his wife of the home at Mountain View; his children, Russell Jordan of Cadillac, Mich., Eva Bayard of Superior, Wis., and Tammy Jacques of Mountain View; brothers and sisters, Winford Jordan of Success, Jerry Dean Trolinger of Salem, Harley Trolinger of Houston, Sammy Cantrell and Leo Cantrell of Florida, Timmy Lovins of West Plains, Leona Lucas of Mountain Grove, Wanda Lacky and Betty Busse of Bourbon, Judyjane Trolinger of St. James and Sharon Smith and Connie Adkerson of West Plains; and 10 grandchildren.

Services are 1 o’clock Saturday at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville. Burial with full military honors is in the Antioch Cemetery at Hartshorn.

Family visitation is 5 o’clock Friday evening at the Bradford chapel with visitation for friends from 6 to 8 o’clock.
