Avon Harold Vaughn, 81, son of Ernie Ray and Vada Ethel Richardson Vaughn, was born July 6, 1927, in Greene County, Ark. He died July 10, 2008, at Batesville, Ark.
He was a member of the Highway 5 Church of Christ and was a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and four sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Middlebrook Vaughn of Mountain View, Ark.; three daughters, Rhonda Penley and Renee Morrison of Plato and Stephanie Weber of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, three stepchildren, five step-grandchildren and two brothers.
Services were July 14 at the Heath Funeral Home Chapel in Paragould, Ark., with burial in the Brown’s Chapel Cemetery at Paragould, Ark., under the direction of Roller Crouch Funeral Home of Mountain View, Ark.
