Jay Glover of Cabool was named Texas County Memorial Hospital’s June employee of the month last week.
Glover, a physical therapy assistant in the department, is known for his upbeat demeanor and positive attitude in working with patients and with fellow employees. He is a four-year employee of TCMH.
“Jay motivates our patients to do their best,” said Terri Driesel, physical therapy department director. “He takes great pride in watching patients improve and in assisting them in reaching their goals.”
Driesel noted that Glover “assists with a multitude of concerns” from patients, patient family members, visitors or employees by doing things like providing phone numbers or directions or to helping a patient brush their hair.
As employee of the month, Glover received a certificate honoring his achievement; a pin; $100 cash; a special parking place in the TCMH lot; one day of paid vacation; membership in the TCMH Fitness Center; $50 gift card; gift certificate to D&L Florist and CD of the month from KUNQ
A reception is planned at the hospital in honor of Glover, who is eligible for the 2008 TCMH employee of the year award.
