Martha Jane Duncan Terrill, 76, daughter of Lewis and Bessie Plowman Duncan, was born Jan. 24, 1932, in Shannon County. She died June 28, 2008, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
She married Norman Gentry Terrill Oct. 18, 1946. They had eight children.
Mrs. Terrill was a supervisor at Angelica Uniform Co. until the late ’60s.
She and her husband were long-time members of the First Baptist Church in Summersville.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Gary Steven and Norman Danny; her parents; and sisters and brothers, Lewis, Leonard, Bill, Maude, Nancy and Lillian.
Surviving are her children, Susan Smith of DeSoto, Michael Terrill, Marlene Terrill, Barbara Atchison, Bonnie Russell and Jim Terrill of Summersville; three sisters, Linda Plowman, Alice Barnett and Marie Duncan of Summersville; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Services were July 1 at the First Baptist Church in Summersville with the Rev. Tommy Boyd and the Rev. John Atchison officiating. Burial was in the Black Pond Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.
