Missouri State University-West Plains will offer its writing sample test and a residual ACT test Saturday, July 12, at its extended campus at Mountain Grove.
The writing sample test will get under way at 11 a.m. at Shannon Hall, 401 E. 17th St.; the ACT test will begin at 1 p.m. at the same location.
University officials said the writing sample and ACT tests are used to evaluate a student’s reading, writing and math skills to ensure the student is placed in appropriate courses. The ACT also is a requirement for all students enrolling in full-time study with the university, they added.
Students may take the writing sample test free of charge; however, there is a $35 fee for the ACT test which is payable at the time of testing.
Pre-registration for both tests is required. For more information or to register for testing, contact the Missouri State-West Plains Student Advisement and Academic Support Center at 417-255-7222.
