Four women face charges following an early Sunday morning fight in downtown Houston, local police said.
Officers were called to the Office Bar, where a fight was in progress behind the establishment at about 1:40 a.m. Police said one person, Tabitha Van Horn, 27, was bleeding from the face and left ear. She also had bite marks on her hands and fingers.
After police arrived, Kimberly A. Sparks, 38, of Licking, attempted to continue the altercation, officers said.
Sparks was handcuffed and escorted to the Texas County Sheriff’s Department by Tpr. Curtis Hubbs of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Another person, Angel L. Copenhaver, 30, of Licking, told police that she was attempting to separate Sparks and Van Horn, when Kristina L. Choate, 25, of 142 N. Oak Crest, pulled her hair and struck her in the face.
Choate said following the incident that she was attempting to assist Van Horn, who being jumped by the other two women.
An ambulance was called for Van Horn, but she refused treatment, officers said.
Charged with peace disturbance by fighting are Choate, Van Horn, Copenhaver and Sparks.
