Houston police investigated an assault involving a knife last week on a business parking lot that left injuries to a 39-year-old Houston woman.
Officers said Timothy S. Edwards, 37, of Cabool, is held after he allegedly attacked Patricia A. White, 39, of 634 Cleveland Road, in the Orscheln Farm and Home parking lot.
Edwards and White’s son, Andrew, were engaged in a fight when she happened to come upon the scene. Police said Andrew White is the father of Timothy Edwards’ grandchild.
Patricia White was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital with a wound to the left hand and was later transferred to a Springfield medical facility with tendon damage. Officers said Edwards is in jail on a probation warrant resulting from the incident. Edwards denied during an interrogation at the Houston Police Department that he had a knife or that Mrs. White was even at the crime scene, officers said.
During their interview, Edwards became uncooperative and was belligerent, police said.
