Town & Country Bank in Licking recently saluted its junior customers from Houston who participated in the livestock auction at the Texas County Fair. Branch Manager Rick Ogden presented these two young ranchers with a $100 savings bond from Town & Country Bank.
“Raising livestock and being responsible for an animal’s daily care is valuable experience for kids,” Ogden said. “Town & Country Bank wanted to reward the efforts of our junior customers and encourage them to participate next year.”
“I also reminded Alyssa and Elizabeth that they could use the savings bond to reimburse their parents for all the feed that was purchased to raise their animal. Judging from the smiles on the girls’ faces, I don’t think my suggestion was taken seriously,” Ogden adds with a laugh.
