Billy John Ellis, 84, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.
He was born Sept. 15, 1924, in Mountain Grove, son of Jessie and Myrtle Ragsdale Ellis. He and Joyce Smith were married June 6, 1950.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a sister.
Survivors include his wife and a daughter, Billie Jo Ellis, of the home; a brother, Ed Ellis; and two sisters, Leona Pavelka and June Ellis.
Services were Monday, Oct. 20, at Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home with Leon Slape and Chris Cobb officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Elk Creek.
