Deborah (Debbie) Korzenewski Howser, age 50, daughter of Harold Workman and Betty Boettcher Davis, was born April 8, 1958, in Tuscumbia, Mo. She passed away Aug. 2, 2008, at Webco Manor, Marshfield, Mo.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Workman; grandparents, Levi and Cynthia Workman and George and Dorothy Hensler; and an infant brother, Robert Allen Workman.
Debbie is survived by two sons, Michael Hathaway and Robert Howser of Springfield, Mo.; her mother, Betty Davis of Marshfield, Mo.; four brothers, Norman Grobe and wife, Audrey, of Marshfield, Mo., Harold Korzenewski of Decatur, Ill., Terry Korzenewski of Centralia, Ill. and John Korzeneski Jr. and wife, Teresa, of Centralia, Ill.; and a sister, Brenda Poschen of Republic, Mo.
She grew up in the Plato area and graduated from Plato High School in 1976. Debbie attended college at OTC in Springfield, Mo.
Debbie accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at the Roby Christian Church.
She married Sam Hathaway in 1976, and they had a son, Michael Hathaway. She married Lou Howser in 1987, and they had a son, Robert Howser.
Debbie worked for Bus Andrews in Springfield, Mo., then later worked at Taylor Made Trucking as an administrative assistant.
She loved NASCAR. She spent many hours watching her favorite driver, Rusty Wallace, until he retired, and then Tony Stewart became her favorite. She was editor of the NASCAR Newsletter for several years. She loved being on the computer. She spent countless hours on My Space. Services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Hodges officiating. Burial was in Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
