Alexa Ichord scored nine points to lead the Houston eighth grade girls’ basketball team past Willow Springs 27-25 Monday night.
Kenzie Scheets scored six points and Emily Ramsey had five for the Lady Tigers, who were 4-for-20 at the foul line.
Houston (2-0) led 16-15 at the half when Ramsey banked in a 3-pointer to beat the buzzer.
In the seventh grade game, Alissa Bowlin scord 21 of her 25 points in the first half as the Lady Tigers cruised to a 49-2 win.
Isabellah Knar and Taylor Franklin had eight points each for Houston, which led 15-0 after one quarter and by 27 at the half.
