Mary Lou Gentry, 81, of Cabool, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at Kabul Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 27, 1927, daughter of Henry and Glennie Burchett.
A graduate of Cabool High School, she attended Southwest Baptist and worked as a bookkeeper for Producers Creamery before operating Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home with her husband, Jim, for more than 50 years.
She enjoyed sports, antiques and her business. She was baptized at the age of 9.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronnie Gentry.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter and son, Peggy and Jay of Cabool; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.
Memorial services were Monday, Nov. 3, at the Cabool First Baptist Church. A private family burial was in Cabool Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home.
