Houston police are investigating vandalism to a car and house in the Lillyview Addition following incidents there last week, officers said.

Officers responded to the Loy Leek residence at 1239 E. Crest Drive, where the rear window of a 2002 Buick LeSabre had been broken with a glass bottle of Crown Royal. Police said it was thrown Nov. 21-22, and it appeared the bottle was thrown at the rear window and deflected over the vehicle and onto the ground.

A neighbor, Sidney Ann Bridges, reported a Seagram’s VO Canadian Whiskey bottle had struck her house and caused siding to break. She heard the commotion at about 4-4:30 a.m. Nov. 22.

In other matters, police:

-Answered a call from a Texas County sheriff’s deputy, who reported that his patrol vehicle had been damaged while parked Nov. 18 at Texas County Memorial Hospital. A large dent was found on the passenger side quarter panel of deputy Phillip Viscioni’s vehicle.

The damage was estimated at $547.

– Are investigating a forgery and passing bad check case referred to it by Progressive Ozark Bank. The loss is estimated at about $2,308. Police have a suspect.

– Are seeking a 21-year-old Cabool man who is accused of attempting to steal a $249 computer game console on Nov. 20. The man slipped out of the store following a confrontation with a security officer who saw the suspect remove a device used to track items of value. The suspect slipped out of a coat, left the equipment, but fled to a parking lot after he said he didn’t want to go to jail.

– Cited Harold W. Aldridge, 44, of Houston, with failing to exhibit an insurance identification card and operating a motor vehicle while his operator’s license was revoked on Nov. 22. Police said Aldridge was slowing to turn into a business lot when a trailer-truck unit operated by Robert E. Durbin, 37, of Flippin, Ark., could not slow and attempted to avoid Aldridge’s car by passing it. Durbin was charged with improper passing, police said.

-Were called to the residence of Gerald A. Creasy, 33, of 500 N. Grand Ave., where he returned Nov. 20 to find his front door standing open. Several items were missing: a Nintendo system, Wii games, a

DVD player, DVDs and $4-$5 in assorted change. Entry was made by a prying tool. The loss was estimated at $490.

-Arrested Stormy D. Morgan, 32, of 712 N. Grand Ave., on a warrant charging her with theft/stealing. She posted a $1,000 bond.

-Investigated a Nov. 17 accident at Grand Avenue and Walnut Street. Riyadh C. Alsadi, 26, of West Plains, was operating a City of Birch Tree police car that struck a City of Houston vehicle driven by Jonathon M. Clifton, 34, of Houston. Alsadi was cited after the police car didn’t have insurance, officers said.

That same day another wreck occurred at the intersection. Loyd L. Mitchell, 83, of Summersville, pulled from a stop sign and was struck by another vehicle driven by Doris E. Wright, 69, of Houston.

Police are reviewing the intersection to determine whether a four-way stop should be installed.

-Investigated a Nov. 14 accident that police said occurred when a vehicle driven by Kathleen A. Hansen, 38, of Cabool, struck the rear of a truck driven by Joseph M. Chernowsky, 18, Houston.

-Cited Michele R. Foster, 37, of 321 Main St., with allowing animal to run at-large on Nov. 20.
