Wilford Lavene Graham, 91, of Cabool died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Feb. 28, 1917, in Hamilton Creek, son of Floyd Winfield and Vinettie Fielden Graham.

He earned a bronze star while serving in the Philippines with the Army during WWII. He spent the remainder of his life on a family farm near Cabool.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Cordelia Margraves Graham; an infant son, Wilford L. Jr.; a brother; and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Kelly Graham of the home; children, Lorene Brill of Republic, Gene and Charles Garrison of Monett, Rose Irene Allen of Norwood, Linda Gebeke of Spokane, Wash., Sally Norman of Mountain Grove, Floyd Graham of Mountain View, Delia Honniball of Castro Valley, Calif., David Graham of Muskogee, Okla., and

Claude Graham, Charles Graham, Edna Woolard and Glenn Graham of Cabool; 42 grandchildren; 66 great- and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services were Saturday, Nov. 1, at Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home. Burial was in Jarrett Cemetery.
