The Texas County Health Department is seeking county residents’ opinions on local community health issues.
Surveys have been placed is businesses throughout the county and are also available at the health department. Survey results will be compiled and shared with the community in mid-April.
Aileen McMurrer, Department of Health and Senior Services Community Development Services, is assisting with the project. McMurrer discussed the survey last week at the monthly Community Health Awareness Team (CHAT) meeting.
CHAT members were asked to rank the top five problems in our area during the meeting. A discussion of local concerns followed and how they can be solved. The consensus? Everyone in the community must do their part and things will change.
