Houston police are conducting an investigation into the theft of several vehicle titles at a local business.

Officers were called March 18 to Lee’s Equipment on South Sam Houston Blvd., where numerous titles were missing. A former employee is suspected, and the investigation will be turned over to the Texas County prosecutor’s office. A chain saw, valued at $175, has been recovered.

In other matters, police:

-Investigated a March 17 accident that officers said occurred when a pickup driven by Porter A. Wiseman, 69, of 16924 Highway B, pulled onto South Sam Houston Blvd. and struck a car operated by Noling H. Malberg, 78, of Cabool.

-Several persons are charged following an early Saturday brawl at The Office in downtown Houston. Cited with peace disturbance are: John T. Goins, 33, Raymondville; Louis E. Blanco, 37, of Citrus Springs, Fla.; Richard C. Stuebe, 27, of Inverness, Fla.; William E. Fitzpatrick, 23, of Inverness, Fla; Efrain J. Ramos Jr., 23, of Sanford, Fla.; Jeremy E. Foster, 29, of Houston; Jerica W. Hayes, 21, of Houston; Ryan E. McKinney, 25, of Houston; and Travis D. Hayes, 22, of Houston.

One person, Kelly Goins of Raymondville, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital and sustained a slight head concussion. Blanco and Stuebe were treated at the scene, but refused additional medical treatment, police said.

Assisting the Houston police department were the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Texas County Sheriff’s Department and Licking Police Department.

-Cited Karen L. Katzman, 54, of Licking, with property damage on March 21.

-Arrested Shannon D. Terrill, 28, of Licking, on a Howell County warrant charging him with passing bad checks. Terrill posted $7,500 bond on March 21.

-Charged Karen L. Katzman, 54, of Licking, after investigating a claim that she had thrown an unopened 20-ounce soda bottle at a vehicle parked at the Division of Family Services office. The vehicle was owned by an attorney ad litem. Damage was estimated at $400.

-Arrested Justin D. Dake, 26, of 517 Bryan, on a Wright County warrant charging him with peace disturbance. Bond was set at $250. He posted it on March 17.

-Arrested Shawn K. Soto, 38, of 317 Skyview Terrace, on a Houston warrant charging him with obstructing a police office. He was unable to post $1,500 bond on March 18.

-Arrested Dakota J. Bland, 18, 312 Bryan, on a Texas County warrant charging him with possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana. He was transported March 13 to the county jail, as bond required him to appear before a judge.

-Cited Billie J. Carney, 33, 217 W. Chestnut, with failing to register a motor vehicle on March 19.

-Charged Eva R. Rowland, 27, of 517 Bryan St., with DWI and failed to drive on the right half of the roadway on March 17. Two children, ages 2 and 8, were in the vehicle at the time, police said.

-Cited Bruce A. Batchelor, 25, of Houston, with taking a clothes and comforter from the Texas County Food Pantry. The loss was estimated at $100.

-Investigated a March 16 accident near South Sam Houston Blvd. and Holder Drive. Police said a car driven by Lisa M. Carter, 40, of Bucyrus, struck a chain saw that apparently had fallen from another vehicle.
