(Editor’s note: The organization announced Wednesday afternoon that it had cancelled the meeting in Houston set for Tuesday).
The Missouri Transportation Alliance will hold a meeting Tuesday in Houston to gather input for a long-range vision of funding priorities in MoDOT’s District 9, which includes Texas County.
The 1 to 3 p.m. meeting is at the Houston Storm Shelter at Pine and First streets.
“This is an opportunity for all transportation advocates, public officials, local leaders and the general public to provide input into a new statewide vision for transportation by developing local priorities and creating broad consensus about Missouri’s transportation future,” said Bill McKenna, the alliance’s chairman.
District co-chairs Steve Ernhardt of St. Robert and Kris Norman of the City of West Plains will attend, along with District Engineer Tom Stehn from MoDOT’s Willow Springs office. Ernhardt’s family at one time owned the Hardee’s store in Houston.
Persons planning to attend should e-mail info@missouritransportation.org with the number of attendees.
