Houston seniors Holly Thomas and Kendra Welch were selected last week to play in the Grizzly All-Star Classic basketball game.
Hosted by the Grizzly basketball program, the event will feature the top 24 senior boys and the top 23 senior girls from varsity high school teams in south-central Missouri and north-central Arkansas, as chosen by a panel of coaches.
Players will arrive Saturday to practice with their respective coaches. The girls’ game begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by a 3-point shootout and slam dunk contest. The boys’ game will begin at 7 p.m.
Joining Welch and Thomas on the girls’ roster are: Jessica Bailey, Alton; Brook Lair, Bakersfield; Haley Skidmore, Conway; Tara Combs, Jessica Jones and Lorra Wicker, Couch; Jaime Shipley, Dora; Lauren Fitzpatrick, Fordland; Krystal Cain, Whitney Garrison and Tyne Rose, Gainesville; Brieayne (Breezy) Bailey, Koshkonong; Callie Carrol, Logan-Rogersville; Ellisha Coday, Seymour; Lindsey Erickson and Jessica Pickett, Springfield Kickapoo; Kristen Earls, Thayer; Jesse House, Sara Paschall and Alisha Shipley, West Plains; and Lindsey James, Willow Springs.

There will be no advance ticket sales; all tickets will be sold the day of the games.
