The Houston softball team committed a season-worst nine errors in a 6-3 loss Tuesday at Winona.

It was the season finale for the Lady Tigers, who finished 3-5 in their third year of existence.

Stephanie Moseley had a two-run inside-the-park home run in the seventh inning. Shelbi Moore singled home a run in the sixth.

Bethany Korte, Hannah Pounds, Jessica Herndon, Moore and Moseley had one hit apiece.

Pounds took the loss, giving up four hits and three earned runs in six innings. She struck out three and walked none.

The Lady Tigers will play in the fall next year under new coach Willy Walker, who takes over for Boulder McKinney. His assistant will be Jennifer McNiell.
