Educator Hall of Fame nominees are sought by the Houston Alumni Association. The award will be presented Saturday, Oct. 3, at the association’s annual banquet.
The winner also will appear in the Sept. 25 Houston High School homecoming parade.
Nominees must have 20 years in the field of education and at least 10 in the Houston School District. Anyone can make a nomination and should include their qualifications in their entry to: Bonnie McElroy, P.O. Box 304, Houston, Mo. 65483. Deadline is Sept. 5.
Final selection will be completed by a community group selected by McElroy, who is association president. They are: Melba Baker, Delbert and Elaine Campbell, Karen Eden, Jennifer Grimm and Eleanor Murrell.
