Texas County Medicare beneficiaries may be eligible to save half on their Medicare Part D drug expenses through the free Missouri pharmaceutical program Missouri Rx.
To enroll in Missouri Rx a person must: be a Missouri resident; have a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan; and have a yearly income of $21,660 (single) or $29,140 (married) or less. Savings do not count.
The Southwest Missouri Office on Aging and local senior centers will be holding the following enrollment events across the region to help eligible Medicare recipients enroll in the free Missouri Rx program. Programs in Texas County are:
-Licking Bridge Builders Senior Center from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6.
-Cabool Senior Center from 9 a.m. until noon Tuesday, Oct. 20.
-Houston Senior Center from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.
-Raymondville Community Center from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23.
– Summersville Senior Center from 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday, Oct. 27.
