Area citizens and business people from Texas County and the surrounding area will be arrested and put behind bars during the annual lock-up luncheon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This year’s event is 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Miller’s Grill in Houston.
The jailbirds will be “Locked Up for Good” to benefit Jerry’s Kids in the Ozarks. Miller’s Grill will serve as the jailhouse, where participants will serve their time raising bail money to benefit children and adults living with neuromuscular diseases.
The Greater Ozarks Area Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association benefits more than 750 families in the Ozarks affected by one of the 43 neuromuscular diseases covered under the association’s programs.
