A 90-year-old local shopper at a Houston business had her purse swiped Sunday, police said.
Authorities said it was taken from a shopping cart, and a debit card was later used to drain funds out of the woman’s bank account.
Police said Monday a Salem woman, 24, has been identified as a suspect in the crime. The investigation continues.
In another case on Sunday, police were called to the Obe Altman residence Sunday at 312 S. Grand Ave., where $1,200 was reported missing. Police are seeking a suspect.
