A Houston woman received moderate injured Wednesday morning when she swerved to miss a deer near Elk Creek.
Tpr. Myron Downey of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 1994 Jeep Cherokee driven eastbound by Debra J. Townley, 52, ran off Highway H and overturned.
Townley, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The vehicle sustained extensive damage, Downey said.
