A Plato man was injured Sunday night when his truck struck a deer on Highway 17, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Isaiah M. Gardea, 32, lost control of the vehicle before it left the roadway and overturned on its top, the patrol said. Gardea, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to a Fort Leonard Wood with minor injuries.
The mishap occurred 10 miles south of Waynesville.
