A rash of vehicle thefts has been tied to two men, Houston police said Monday.

As many as two dozen vehicles were entered illegally by the pair over a two-night period, officers said.

Police are seeking charges of property damage; theft/stealing, a felony; and four counts of theft/stealing, a misdemeanor, against a 19-year-old man. A second person, 20, also is believed to have been involved, and he is being sought.

In other matters, police:

-Cited Kimberly K. Blair, 48, of Elk Creek, with driving while suspended on Nov. 1. A computer check also showed an outstanding warrant from the City of Summersville for failing to appear on a speeding charge. She posted $190 bond.

-Cited David W. Wolfe, 22, of 403 N. Grand Ave., Apt. 2, with peace disturbance and property damage. According to a police report, Wolfe broke out a sliding glass door with his head during an argument with his paramour on Oct. 24. Damage was estimated at $200.

-Charged Roger W. Franklin, 48, 17100 Tiffany Dr., Lot D, with failing to yield the right-of-way Nov. 1 following an accident on South Sam Houston Blvd. Franklin was attempting to make a turn onto the highway when he was struck by a car operated by Kodey L. Campbell, 16, of 10210 Prescott Road.

-Arrested Kerry D. Brooks, 22, of 8447 Mineral Drive, on a warrant charging him driving while suspended on Oct. 31. He was unable to post $2,500 cash only bond.

-Cited Ruth A. Weatherspoon, 49, of 506 Phelps, with allowing her animal to run at large – first offense, on Oct. 31.

-Lewis Akins, 1601 Hawthorn, reported someone stole two black-powder weapons and a bow from his residence on Saturday. A wallet was later recovered on Westwood Drive.

Charges are being sought from the county prosecutor against a 32-year-old woman in connection with the theft of some checks and later forgery of the documents.

A probation warrant triggered by stealing a purse at a Houston business belonging to a 90-year-old woman is sought against a Salem woman.
