The number of deer killed during a weekend youth season jumped over last year, the Missouri Department of Conservation said Monday.
A total of 213 were killed by hunters, which is an increase of 60 from last year.
The breakdown: antlered bucks, 76; button bucks, 29; and does, 108.
The top three counties were: Osage, 318; Franklin, 295; and Callaway, 240.
