A father and son in northwest Texas County were arrested Wednesday after authorities discovered a sophisticated indoor growing operation and nearly 400 marijuana plants, according to the Texas County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Carl Watson said almost 52 pounds of processed marijuana and weapons were seized during a search warrant executed by the sheriff’s department, South Central Drug Task Force and Missouri State Hwy Patrol. The Missouri Department of Conservation and Drug Enforcement Administration were later called to the scene.
The father and son, who were not named, were taken to the Texas County Jail. Watson said federal charges are expected to be filed after the next grand jury session.
