The Missouri State Highway Patrol said there were no fatalities in Troop G during the Christmas holiday weekend.
Troop G troopers investigated 13 traffic crashes, resulting in seven injuries and zero fatalities and made one DWI arrest for the period of 6 p.m., Thursday, December 24, through 11:59 p.m., Sunday, December 27.
“We are very pleased that we did not experience any traffic fatalities in Troop G this Christmas holiday season,” said Capt. Billy E. Chadwick. “By working together, we can make the upcoming New Year’s holiday period a safe one as well. Please buckle up and don’t drink and drive.”
During a Combined Accident Reduction Effort Life Savers Weekend from Dec. 18-20, officers investigated two alcohol-related traffic crashes and seven traffic crashes on C.A.R.E. designated highways. Troopers made six DWI arrests and issued 231 speeding citations and 52 seat belt tickets. Additionally, officers provided 57 motorist assists.
