Regular registration for the spring 2010 semester is under way at Missouri State University-West Plains, and area residents interested in enrolling at the campus will find more than 150 different courses from which to choose, campus officials said.
Officials remind that associate degrees are available in general studies, teaching, nursing, business, child and family development, computer graphics and programming, computer technology, enology, entrepreneurship, general agriculture, general technology, law enforcement, respiratory therapy and viticulture.
While many classes will be offered on the West Plains campus using a Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday class schedule, more than 60 classes will be available online. In addition, 24 classes will be offered at the university’s campus in Mountain Grove.
Current and readmitted students who did not enroll during early registration Nov. 16-20, as well as transfer and special students, can enroll for spring 2010 classes during the regular registration period, which continues through Jan. 10, 2010. Degree-seeking students need to visit with their adviser and receive their alternate PIN number before registering online through the Grizzly Den on the Missouri State-West Plains Web site, https://mygrizzlyden.missouristate.edu. Students also may register in the office of registration and records in Looney Hall between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
First-time freshmen or transfer students with less than 10 credit hours will register for their spring classes during the university’s Student Advising and Registration (STAR) Orientation sessions.
A complete listing of courses for the spring semester is available in the spring 2010 schedule of courses. For a copy of the schedule, contact the Missouri State-West Plains Office of Admissions at 417-255-7955 or visit http://www.wp.missouristate.edu.
