Absentee ballots for the April 6 municipal elections are available in the county clerk’s office in the Texas County Administrative Center in Houston.

Absentee voting may be done in person or by mail.

Residents wanting to vote in person can do so at the county clerk’s office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The house is closed during the lunch hour. The office also will be open the Saturday before the election.

The office is now situated on the third floor – top level – of the building.

Requests for an absentee ballot by mail can be made in person, by a guardian or by a relative within the second degree, said County Clerk Don Troutman. An absentee ballot application form also is available online at the secretary of state’s office at: http://www.sos.mo.gov/forms/elections/absentee.pdf

Persons having questions regarding the municipal election can contact Troutman at 417-967-2112 or by e-mailing at txcomo@centurytel.net.
