Lawrence Bruce Hamrick, 97, died Sunday, June 13, 2010, at his home in Houston.
He was born July 27, 1912, in Plato, son of Thomas Jefferson and Alice Elma Sutton Hamrick.
He was a machinist 15 years for Rawlings in Licking and Willow Springs. He worked seven years for H.D. Lee in Houston. He enjoyed helping those in need.
He accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Houston. He assisted in the construction of the newer Assembly of God Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his six brothers and sisters, Benton, Legola, Althea, Elma, Zelda and Jasper.
Survivors include a sister, Lura Jones of Muncie, Ind.; many nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Hazel Parker of Mountain Grove.
Services were Wednesday, June 16, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with David Meade and Lonnie Case officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
