Posted at 3:22 p.m.: Organizers for tonight’s Relay for Life announced this afternoon the event will be held in Emmett Kelly Park .
Rain that fell this morning had raised some doubts earlier whether the event would be in the park — or moved to the Houston Elementary School.

Earlier: Texas County Relay for Life announced the schedule for its June 11-12 event at Emmett Kelly Park in Houston.
The event raises funds for the American Cancer Society.
Here is the schedule:
7 p.m. – Opening ceremony with a survivor and caregiver lap, as well as the parade of teams.
7:30 p.m. – The Petersen Family concert, bluegrass gospel music. Team activities begin at campsites.
9:15 p.m. – Luminaira ceremony.
9:45 p.m. – Live auction.
10:15 p.m. – The Fallen concert, contemporary music. Team activities at campsites.
11:30 p.m. – Money machine. “The Formative Years,” one person from each team dresses like the era they were born in, competing against others.
Midnight – Jerry Jackson, music, and the money machine.
12:30 a.m. – Competition – “Minute To Win It,” just like the national TV program.
1 a.m. – Leonard Nierbrugge, music, and the money machine.
2 a.m. – Fight back ceremony, motivational.
2:30 a.m. – Money machine and “Clown of the Relay,” with one person from each team dressing as a clown and doing one trick on stage. Voting for best act will follow.
3 a.m. – Money machine and chocolate run, purchase a box from teams.
4 a.m. – Money machine and “Are Your Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” competition.
5 a.m. – Money machine and ’50s and ’60s hour and a competition of musical chairs.
6 a.m. – Three-legged races.
6:30 a.m. – Closing ceremony and awards.
A shuttle bus service will run from the Hiett Gymnasium parking lot and Crowley’s HomeWorks.
