Rosemary Johnsen

Rosemary Johnsen, 81, daughter of Irvel and Josephine (Yingling) Grignon, was born May 7, 1929, in Hortonville, Wisc. She passed away Aug. 30, 2010, in Houston, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Alexander Johnsen of Houston, Mo; one daughter, Linda Bolding and husband, Jim; one granddaughter, Tammy Beaver and husband, Scott; and one sister, Marie Arbuckle.

Rosemary grew up in Duluth, Minn. She married her childhood sweetheart, Alex.

They farmed and owned a restaurant in Two Harbors, Minn., north of Duluth.

They moved to Fenton, Mo., in 1969, then to Raymondville in 1991.

Rosemary had a love for caring for handicapped children and thrived anytime she was in the company of young people. When she was still able, she loved working in her large vegetable garden, and was known for her green thumb.

She will be missed by family and friends that knew and loved her.
