Joseph V. Chinderle of Raymondville was arrested Sunday and cited for third-degree domestic assault following an incident at a Shumake Drive residence.
Texas County Sheriff’s Department officers made the arrest after Chinderle, 34, injured a woman by reportedly throwing a chair and other objects at her. The 40-year-old woman told investigating officers that Chinderle had become violent toward her when he came home after he had been drinking.
The victim stated that Chinderle had also twisted her arm. She sustained injuries to her right forearm, left thumb and right leg.
Sheriff’s department officers had been dispatched to the same residence twice before for the same reason.

Oct. 5
A Mountain Grove man called to complain about a neighbor’s dogs coming onto his Polk Drive property. The investigating officer advised the dogs’ owners to keep them on their property and that continued complaints could result in a citation.
An officer went to an Emmett Kelly Road residence in Houston regarding a property dispute.
A Houston woman called to report a fight at a Mineral Drive residence. When an officer arrived at the scene, no one was there.
A Houston woman called to report that her husband was missing. The investigating officer found the man outside, and he was fine.
Oct. 7
A Mountain Grove man called to report a possible prowler at his Hubbard Street residence. An investigating officer did not find anything.
A Plato man reported that a Snap-On welder valued at $600 and a welding helmet worth $200 were missing from his Highway 17 residence.
A neighbor had reported told the man that he knew a man who had taken the equipment and that it was at his sister’s house.
A Mountain Grove man called to report that a man had been riding a four-wheeler on his property and had thrown trash over his fence. An officer located the rider who admitted to both and agreed to cease and clean up the trash.
Oct. 8
A Houston man called to report that his car had been stolen from his Mill Road residence.
The investigating officer determined that the man had actually sold the car and that the buyer had taken it away.
A Roby man called to report that his ex-girlfriend had stolen two rings that his mother had given him. The man told an investigating officer that he had called the woman about the rings, valued at $400, and that she said she had them and was going to keep them.
Oct. 10
A Houston woman called to report a prowler at her Barnum Drive residence. She said someone had knocked on the front and back doors but nobody could be found. The investigating officer did not find anything.
