The first baby born in 2011 at Texas County Memorial Hospital arrived at 1:03 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4.

Zane Hunter LeRoy Altobello is the son of Misty Prewett and Cody Altobello of Success. Dr. Tricia Benoist, physician at the St. John’s Clinic in Houston, delivered baby Zane, eight pounds, three ounces and 22 inches long.

Zane joins his two-year-old big brother, Chance.

Ann Vandiver and Virginia Clark, representatives of the TCMH Auxiliary, presented gifts and gift certificates to Zane and his parents after his birth. Businesses and individuals throughout the county donated.

The gift basket for the first baby born at TCMH is a project of the TCMH Auxiliary. Area businesses that were not able to participate in 2011, but would like to participate in 2012 should contact the TCMH Auxiliary at (417- 967-1370 or 866-967-3311.
