Jimmy Ramsey, 33, of 465 Craig Lane in Raymondville, was issued a citation for peace disturbance after being involved in a confrontation with a Houston man.
Ramsey was cited after he reportedly used his vehicle to cut off the other man, who was driving to his Sommerfield Drive residence, and then approached him intending to fight.
The police report noted that Ramsey has had several encounters with the other man related to him dating his ex-wife.
The following are other matters recently dealt with by Houston police.
June 1
-Two West Plains women were issued citations for animal neglect.
After receiving a call from neighbors, an officer went to an Augusta Street residence in Houston regarding two dogs that had been left behind by the women when they moved out.
The officer took the dogs to the city shelter and obtained the women’s new address.
Christina M. Klein, 23, and Ashely N. McCauley, 22, both of 1108 Newton St. in West Plains, were mailed citations.
June 9
-Zachary W. Holt, 23, of 605 Hawthorne Street in Houston, was issued a citation for driving while driver’s license revoked.
Holt was cited after an officer who knew his license was revoked saw him driving a 1991 Oldsmobile 88 eastbound on Pine Street at about 2 p.m.
June 13
-Maraenda L. Swallow, 20, of 10822 Highway 17 in Success, was issued a citation for failing to yield after an officer observed the silver Pontiac Sunfire she was driving turn directly in front of his patrol car as she went from Industrial Drive onto Highway 17.
The officer stated that he had to come to complete stop on Highway 17 to avoid hitting her car.
-An officer was dispatched to an Ozark Street residence regarding a stray dog.
A female resident of the home had caught the dog – a bull terrier. The officer recognized the animal and knew whom it belonged to.
He put the dog in his patrol car and took it to its female owner. The officer made contact with the owner and issued a citation to Jamie L. Reed, 26, of 314 Bryan St., in Houston.
June 14
-Two teenage girls where issued citations by the Houston Police Department for minor in possession of alcohol after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 12:20 a.m.
An officer made the stop after observing a northbound car pass by his southbound patrol car without dimming its high beams.
After making contact with the car’s 18-year-old driver, the officer smelled alcohol and asked that she and her three passengers submit to a portable breath test, to which they all agreed.
After the tests, Erica D. Keeney, 18, of 8212 Keenview Road in Houston, and Victoriah M. Knarr, 17, or 9187 Highway 17 in Bucyrus, were each cited.
The driver and a 19-year-old male passenger each tested negative and were not cited.
Members of the Houston Police Department will be selling SpecialOlympics T-shirts beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday at Walmart.
The shirts are $10 apiece or $15 for sizes 2X and 3X. All salesbenefit Special Olympics Missouri, which has been the charity ofchoice of state law enforcement agencies for 40 years. Last year,more than $1 million was raised to help the state’s 15,000 giftedathletes.
Chief Jim McNiell said shirts will be available through earlyafternoon.
